Reviewing all these restaurants was a great deal of fun, after all for once I got to eat some food that wasn’t just bad campus food. It was above average fast food in both cases of what I ate. The real fun however was the company I ate with in this case one Heather Perkins. She was my combo companion and driver a task I’m somewhat surprised that she took on. She must not remember the time she spent with me in freshman year all that well. It was nice to leave the campus and all the horrible people on it for a quick distraction of food as deep fried as it may have been. Our first stop was the New Century Chinese restaurant, that’s actually owned by the same guys who own Asia in Lyndon. As I walked in there I noticed something that I never see, a non-Chinese person working in a Chinese restaurant. I stood in shock and awe as the waitress was clearly of Anglo-Saxon. Clearly this is a restaurant that is progressive and forward thinking. The food in New Century Chinese restaurant was just what you’d expect pork fried rice and fried crab dumplings a delight for any college kid as imitation seafood isn’t something we get in the dining hall often. Not to tune my own horn and quote myself but in the end it was “worth my $4.80.”
